Second Number (secondnumber.io) sells non-VoIP mobile numbers for SMS verification in two variants: a one-time activation number for a single service and a long-term rental number booked by the week, month or year. Activation numbers are available for a wide range of countries and can receive several codes within one activation; if no SMS arrives, the amount is refunded to the account balance. Rental numbers receive unlimited SMS verifications around the clock. Incoming messages are read in the web dashboard, and an iOS app is available next to the web platform. According to the provider, no KYC is required. Payments are accepted in Bitcoin and Ethereum as well as by card. A developer API allows OTP reception to be automated. One caveat: the provider states that numbers in some countries are recycled, so a rented number may already be linked to existing accounts.
